Rijksmuseum
The '''Rijksmuseum''' is the Dutch national museum of arts and history, in [[Amsterdam]]. Founded in 1800 in The Hague and moved to Amsterdam in 1808, it has occupied its Pierre Cuypers-designed building since 1885. The museum holds around one million objects from 1200 to 2000, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, [[Johannes Vermeer|Vermeer]], and Frans Hals.
