The Rijksmuseum is the Dutch national museum of arts and history, in Amsterdam. Founded in 1800 in The Hague and moved to Amsterdam in 1808, it has occupied its Pierre Cuypers-designed building since 1885.

The museum holds around one million objects from 1200 to 2000, including masterpieces by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Frans Hals. It is best known for "The Night Watch" and a comprehensive survey of Dutch Golden Age painting.
